Bible Text: Hebrews 10:37 |

The Coming of the Lord               February 11, 2018

We are concerned about a lot of things and our minds wander but the word of the Lord will put a stop to that.

Hebrews 10:37  For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

Thank God He puts a stop to my life spinning out of control. Stand on the Rock. He gets you to focus on the one thing that matters – the coming of the Lord. We follow Paul as he followed Christ. He wanted to attain to the out-resurrection. This church age is about a bride for the Son. We’re captivated by seeing our first love.

Job 42:5  I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

Are you conversing with the Lord? Pray and thank Him.

Habakkuk 2:2-3  And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.  3.  For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

They wrote those things for us. God has called us to make that plain. We expect to be in the bride; not that we’ve already attained. We run and press toward the mark for the prize; not in doubt or fear but in confidence of His love. That He will transform us from glory to glory. Abound in hope.

Song of Solomon 7:10  I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me.

It’s His love, desire, purpose and will. He gave me everything – I am more than a conqueror. That plan is so beyond in perfection, power, purpose, and provision. It’s all done – finished at the cross. Apprehend more grace. Jesus lives in me. Feed that life with His word, it will perform and do of His good pleasure. Go boldly to the throne of grace. Be bold in the Word of God. Knowledge is powerful, but knowledge in the word of God is all powerful. Have enlightened eyes of understanding, see Him coming for you. Know, reckon, and yield.

Revelation 3:11  Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

He said, “I’m coming again” to those that are looking for Him. To those that love His appearing. There is nothing you can count on more than the coming of the Lord. Is that the captivating thing upon your heart? It’s what our life is about. It’s all about love. The enemy wants you in fear and unbelief; to be consumed with man’s thoughts. Live God’s possibility, abound in hope. Nothing in life is certain, but this is. This bridal message is yours. Tune into this and tune out the world’s chatter. Read the love letters He has written to you. When you are born again, you are born of God. You are different. You are a citizen of heaven. Seated in the heavens in Christ. The things of this life do not pertain to you. Through the word of His grace we can soar above what we see with our eyes. Do you know who you are? Christ lives in me.

Isaiah 64:1,4  Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, 4  For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

There is a falling away. Without a vision the people perish. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. He will strengthen us. Our outward man perishes but the inward man is renewed day by day. Abide in the ways and truth as you have been taught (1 John 2:27). Stay in love. Embrace the trials of your life. They get you ready. We have a better thing. He wants us to be His bride. We should be consumed with that. Don’t get complacent. He’s coming and will not tarry. The lover of my soul is right on time. You are His! It’s all about the one thing.
