Love Reigns February 17, 2019
Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
Death reigned. All men were dead in trespasses and sins. But God – mercy showed up on the scene. Here came the exact opposite of what we deserved, the second Adam. We received abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness by faith. We reign by Jesus’ life in us. It’s abundant life that reigns.
Galatians 4:1 Now I say, Thatthe heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
Jesus Christ is Lord of all and His life lives in you. Our life in Christ is a reigning life. He wants you to grow up to be a joint-heir with Jesus Christ. We are born of God and by feasting on the word, we grow in the full power of that life. He has a vison for us. The Shulamite in the Song of Solomon saw herself as a reproach until he gave her his vision of her. That vision grew until she said, “I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me”. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me – that’s reigning. I’m more than a conqueror through Christ who loved me – that’s reigning. You reign because you are loved. Do you want to reign to the supreme? Then know the love of Christ.
Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
The power is the Holy Ghost. Are we allowing that power to reign? Are we growing in that great love in which we are loved? Overcomers get that He is in love with them and in that love, love reigns. Confidence because He wants you glorified together with Him. Rest in His love. He will perform the good work He has begun because He loves you. Knowing His love will build faith in your life.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Knowing His love makes you confident in His power. Jesus loves you. Enter into the promise and walk all through it. He tells us to know His love.
Ephesians 3:17-19 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what isthe breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Know His love, and be filled with all the fulness of God which is love. He gave us the Holy Ghost to shed the love of God abroad in our hearts. The full overcomers know His love. His mercy endures forever. It’s time to really hear and believe.
Song of Solomon 2:10 . . .Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
There is only one way – the first rank. There are ranks in the resurrection. Know the crown message. Receive His word. He wants me to be His glory. He is the lover of your soul. The bride hears and responds to those words. The one who knows how great a love wherewith you are loved, reigns.
