Paul’s Gospel                        February 25, 2018

What is Paul’s gospel? Was it the message, saved by grace? No, that was also in the Old Testament –it’s always by grace. God told Cain, “Bring me the lamb”. It is also in the gospels.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Some say Paul’s gospel is that the Gentiles should be saved. There were many Gentiles in the Old Testament that were saved. Paul’s gospel is so much more. When was Paul’s gospel given? Two years after Jesus ascended. On Pentecost the Spirit of Truth was given. Paul’s gospel is the whole counsel of God rightly divided. It’s the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. If we were only given the Holy Ghost without Paul’s gospel it would be zeal without knowledge. Paul’s gospel is really something special.

Romans 16:25  Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

How was this mystery made manifest, and to whom?

Colossians 1:25-27  Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;  26.  Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:  27.  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

What was given to Paul was to complete the Word of God – Jesus. It is the bridal message. It was hidden until poured forth through God’s vessel – Paul.

Romans 2:16  In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Judged not for good or bad, but are you in love with Jesus. The Father is seeking for those who worship in spirit and truth. The message of “Will you go?”

Ephesians 6:19-20  And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,  20.  For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Ambassador = minister of the highest rank.

1 Timothy 1:11  According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

This was not said about other vessels. Paul said, “Preach no other gospel”.

1 Corinthians 11:1  Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

In Paul’s epistles there is no teaching of the kingdom age. Paul is the apostle to this church age. The message: if by any means I might attain to the out-resurrection. The first trumpet rapture. The exalted rank of righteousness. There are ranks in the resurrection. In the midst of the throne, ruling and reigning jointly with Jesus Christ. It is rare to hear this. We are in the time of the latter rain.

Acts 9:15  But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

Why Paul? It wasn’t to magnify Paul, it was to magnify the grace of God. Paul was the chief of sinners. He was the most self-righteous. He was the perfect one to show that mercy and grace is the only way to the high calling. This is the message of the love crown.

Revelation 3:9  . . . behold, I will make them . . . to know that I have loved thee.

It’s the marriage of the Lamb. Paul’s message can be squandered, stolen away.

Revelation 3:11  Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

No one can take your salvation or the infilling of the Holy Ghost. It’s about the first love.

Revelation 2:4  Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

Left = divorced. This is the one message for the age. Without Paul’s gospel you will not be established, you will go to sleep. Quit wrestling, by the grace of God hear Him, the truth He died for. He died for you to be His glory.
