A Reigning Life March 3, 2019
Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.
How much you receive of the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness is how much you will reign. Christ liveth in you. You do not lack a thing. You have the Holy Ghost power to reign now. He who trusts in God is encompassed about with mercy. You’ve got a reigning life. Why would I want to live man’s reality when I can live God’s possibilities? It’s about God having His way. The only way you will let God have His way is to really fall in love with Him. Know the love of Christ. Listen to God. Hear the voice of the Lord – all of the word of God, not just bits and pieces. Let love abound.
1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves:
Truth without love is a shipwreck. Without fervent love for one another you aren’t going to win Him. Fall in love with Him and you will fall in love with one another. It’s the word of His grace.
What does that reigning life look like?
2 Timothy 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him:
We see this in our forefathers and mothers. Ruth, Esther, Joseph, Bathsheba – the sufferings they went through was the path to reigning. Our lives are no different. Every event in our life has an exact purpose – ruling and reigning. Everything we are going through is a perfect path to win Him. You are built for victory, you have His life.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to hispurpose.
It’s His desire, His purpose, His plan, His work.
Philippians 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things butloss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them butdung, that I may win Christ,
This is a knowing thing; know the intimacy of the Bridegroom. Paul said, “Follow me as I follow Christ”. It’s a relationship – enter in. The term ‘excellency of the knowledge’ means knowledge of rulers, a superior rank – reigning knowledge. A reigning life has got to know the reigning knowledge of bridal truth. It’s about reigning jointly with Jesus Christ because that’s what He wants. He wants us!
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him,that we may be also glorified together.
We’ve got hardships and sufferings but those things are tailor made for us to win Him. Walk boldly to the throne of grace. He loves you, He will never let you go. He created all things for Himself. It was God’s furnace, God’s wilderness. Every trial you will ever face is God’s plan of intimate fellowship.
1 Peter 1:6-7 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Why the trials? This is for the praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus. Will you be a part of it? Be encouraged in the word. Run! Believe the gospel and reign now! Let’s have the faith to win Christ. Let the glory come forth now. All He wants you to do is live that life and feed that life. Rise up my love my fair one and come away with me!
