Bible Text: Psalm 103:5 |

Soar High                           March 18, 2018

Psalms 103:5  Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

They called Paul “the aged” but though the outward man perish, the inward man is renewed day by day. Falling in love with Paul’s gospel will always make you young. This message puts passion in your life. It’s about the age of your heart. What does an eagle have to do with being young again? The eagle speaks of overcoming, soaring above, dwelling in the heavens. This happens from feeding on good things = excellent things. Mouth = decorated with ornaments, specifically ornaments put upon a horse. In those days it was the royalty. The proposal from the King. Let it saturate you and you’ll be young. Feast on the excellent things. Thank God for His truth in love.

Song of Solomon 1:2  Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.

The kisses of His mouth are the words of the Lord. They equip you for warfare. When you look at the trials from down here, they can weigh you down. But when you see them from above, you see His grace to super abound. Knowing He is perfecting your life. Many Christians quit letting the Lord kiss them, and they grow old in heart. The love message changes you.

Psalms 119:103  How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Realize how much Jesus is in love with you!

Song of Solomon 7:10  I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me.

You are highly favored. Embrace it. Magnify grace. An eagle has over 7,000 feathers. They all have specific purposes. Those have to be renewed all the time. They live in harsh conditions. This is like us, we need renewing all the time. We need the excellent things.

Hebrews 2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

We’re almost done, the trumpet is about to blast. Mount up today in Paul’s gospel. Don’t be ashamed of the gospel of Christ. The word will lift you out of the cares of this life, out of the affections of this world, out of the sorrows, griefs, heartaches, disappointments that destroy the mightiest of men. They can’t touch the sons of God. Feel the feathers coming. That’s thanksgiving – soar in that. That word is always with you. Soar high!
