Resurrection Power April 1, 2018
Luke 24:1-8 Now upon the first dayof the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain otherswith them. 2. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: 5. And as they were afraid, and bowed down theirfaces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? 6. He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, 7. Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. 8. And they remembered his words,
He is risen, He is not here. There is nothing like that assurance. Jesus arose and came out of the tomb. The power over sin and death by faith in Jesus Christ. You have been completely delivered by the blood of the Lamb. You may say, “Then why do I fail?” It’s the good fight of faith. Fighting against the lies instead of believing the word of God. The Word is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. Jesus is at the right hand of God. Come boldly to the throne of grace.
1 John 3:8-9 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
We are free indeed, that power is so wonderful! But we’re still in this sinful flesh – fearful, worrying, and not trusting God. It’s all against us, but if He be for you, who can be against you? Churches today are not talking about the coming of the Lord. The word of God is true. He will withhold nothing good from you.
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
We’ve got to know Him in the power of His resurrection. The same power is here to bring you forth from all your trials and failures. We come to times in our life we think it’s over, there’s no hope, but through His resurrection power rise up with Him and come out of that tomb. If you are a child of God, you have been raised together with Him.
Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised usup together, and made ussit together in heavenly placesin Christ Jesus:
Do you see how free you are? He has made the way of escape. I am over there, so why do I complain and worry? This word has to work effectually in me and then I believe and trust Him. Remember the words spoken to you. Go from life to abundant life, joy to full joy. We can rejoice now.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
There is a darkness coming over this world but there are ones shining more brightly. Jesus told Martha that if you believe you will see the glory of God. Don’t look at self, look at the grace and mercy of the Lord all the time. The resurrection power will give you abounding hope. We are going to put on the incorruptible. We are going to be face to face with Him. He will perform the good work He has begun. When you see how much He loves you, you’ll have a gratitude you can grow in. You are raised and seated in the heavens now. That is your life – more than conquerors through Christ. He finished it. Hear His voice, “Come forth”. Those that love His appearing are going to meet Him in the air. Don’t waste your life, hear the word of God, gather with people that love the Lord. He loves you! It’s time to rise up out of that tomb!
