The Power of His Grace                    April 29, 2018

Titus 2:11-13  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,  12.  Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  13.  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Isn’t grace something? The word of His grace builds us up. Faith worketh by love. Grace gave us faith. It’s the gift of God. If you take all grace, you’ll have all faith. What a God, so tremendous, so sweet, beautiful, intimate and loving! We are becoming those vessels to the praise of the glory of His grace.

Ephesians 2:8-9  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it isthe gift of God:  9.  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

We come to find out that grace is not just unmerited love, but that we are highly favored.

Hebrews 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

He loves you. He says come when you need help. He delivers you from all your troubles. He perfects (completes) what concerns me (Ps. 138:8). We see the next 30 seconds, He has forever in mind.

Romans 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to hispurpose.

He doesn’t just see an isolated event, He sees them all coming together for your life. In this church age the Father is seeking those that worship in spirit and truth. We can live the power of this never ending grace. Jesus is in love with you. He wants you to be His wife.

Titus 2:12  (Grace) Teaches us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Not just instruction but molding and chastening you. He doesn’t deal with you according to your sins. Grace never leaves. You know how it chastens? It puts a hurt on you. It convicts and causes your heart to be repentant. To stop and say, “What am I doing?” Grace does everything. Denying means to prove false. Grace teaches us that the things of the world are false to our life. You are brand new.

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man bein Christ, he isa new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

1 John 3:9  Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Grow in grace, mature. Become who we are in Christ. There may be something upon your life but it doesn’t sit right. That’s the power of His grace, it proves things in our life that are false.

Things like being bitter, jealous, envy, lying, gossip, and resent make me sick. It’s a lie, why be sick? Being around ungodly friends that influence you away from the things of God is an illness. Why don’t we want to feel good in the Spirit? How about infidelity, pornography, alcohol, drugs? These things destroy families. As Christians, this isn’t us. Grace shows you this isn’t you. We are not in bondage, we’re free. We’re not sick, we are healed. I’m new in Christ. The old man is dead. Let’s let grace bring us more of the abundant life. All grace has been given to you.

2 Corinthians 9:8  And Godisable to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things,may abound to every good work:

If you are a child of God, your life is grace. The full, unconditional backing of God is all grace given to you! God has a plan for you – finish with joy. Grace will make you joyful. Listen to the Word, it instructs you. Here is your life.

1 Peter 5:8-10  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  9.  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.  10.  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

What choice will you make? Have a vision for His grace!
