Bible Text: Ephesians 2:3-5 |

Mercy and Grace   May 3, 2015

Ephesians 2:3-5 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,

Mercy is that which keeps us from what we deserve. That mercy never stops.

Lamentations 3:22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
Now are we the sons of God. His mercies keep me moment by moment from what I deserve. His love is so beyond. His faithfulness endureth forever to us.

Psalms 25:6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
His mercy, from ages past, in Christ. What is on the mercy seat? The blood. Move on with mercy to His divine grace. Grace gives us everything we don’t deserve. Mercy keeps us from what we deserve, and grace gives us everything in Christ we could never merit.

Acts 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

We have this mercy and grace. Building up a masterpiece. Vessels to the praise and glory of His grace. He is the potter, we are the clay. Everything I am is because of Him. I am what I am by the grace of God (1Cor. 15:10). There is nothing in me that I can boast of. My boast is in the Lord. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy (Rom. 9:15). When I see the blood, I will pass over you. A bruised reed He will not break, the smoking flax He will not quench. Grace always, for everything. The word of His grace building us up to His masterpiece, the bride adorned for Jesus. All grace. In the midst of the throne.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
In giving us His Son, He gave us all mercy, all grace. To know the love of Christ. To believe in it. 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

He has given us everything in His Son. Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col. 1:27).

James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Don’t stop with grace, He gives more grace to the humble.
Cease of your own self. Don’t let the enemy cause us to get vain.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Be filled with the power of His might. It’s all Him!
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. The more grace is the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, the more grace is the like Him glory, the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ, empowers you. Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
It’s not what we see, it is believing the word of His grace.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
More grace empowers us, fortifies us to resist the devil. If it’s only mercy alone then I will go along with the lies of the devil. The grace that gives us the power to stand is so abundant. The devil has to flee.
His presence goes with me always and His love keeps me. It renews our mind so we know that now are we the sons of God. Full overcomers in Christ make a stand in grace and are transformed, changing from glory to glory. Made known unto all, “I have loved thee”. His mercy endureth forever. Today all that grace is not in vain. Rising up to be pillars of the grace of God.
