He Shall Glorify Me August 11, 2019
John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
John 16:12-14 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,thatshall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shewitunto you.
Jesus did send the Holy Ghost. The plan was for all truth to come forth.
Acts 2:1-4 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. . . . 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
At that moment it was what Christ had promised, the infilling of the Holy Ghost, He readied them for all truth. Then, after two years, He brought all truth through a chosen vessel – Paul, the chief of sinners to magnify the grace of God. Paul went forth and spoke boldly.
1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also amof Christ.
Romans 2:16 . . .God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
In Galatians Paul said, “Preach no other gospel”. Mark those words. All the Word is contained in Paul’s gospel. It’s more than salvation, or being filled with the Holy Ghost, or that Gentiles could be saved.
Colossians 1:25-26 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26 Eventhe mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
It is to complete the Word of God. Fulfil = complete. This mystery had not been revealed until now through Paul to the saints. To receive this glorious gospel, you need to be saved and filled with the Holy Ghost.
Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what isthe riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
This is the glory doctrine, to glorify Jesus. He gave the power and plan, and poured it out through Paul.
Romans 16:25-26a Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, Stablish = set in a certain direction, the throne!
Ephesians 3:3-6 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Romans 8:16-19 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him,that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time arenot worthy to be comparedwith the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.The doctrine of the Apostle Paul is joint-heirs, glorified together with Jesus Christ.Revealed in us (not to us) for Him. This is so personal. In me, alive and abounding!
2 Timothy 4:6-8 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished mycourse, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Paul speaks of things nobody else did. The crown, the exalted rank of righteousness. Know your birthright!
Revelation 21:9-11 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her light waslike unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;John was taken to see the masterpiece of Paul’s gospel, the Lamb’s wife!She is His glory. You will never be that glory unless you receive the doctrine of, ‘He shall glorify me’. Will we apprehend?Turn to embrace Him. Lord, may we say, “I do”!
