It’s all Grace                        August 13, 2017

Revelation 22:12  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

He is coming soon. There is a first trumpet rapture that is about to happen. For His sons, it’s all about rewards. How much will you believe what the word of God tells you?

Ephesians 2:10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Work means a thing accomplished. It’s what the Word accomplishes in you. Who does the work? He does. Not only does He do the work but He gives us the good works to walk in.

2 Corinthians 5:7  (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

That’s called the grace of God, served on a platter with all the purpose, provision, and power we need. There is no excuse for us to not have a full reward. We just believe. Everything is about the word. We need to have truth abounding in believing in it. Knowing if He is for us, who can be against us? The grace of God wants us to be ready. This is the emphasis because the coming of the Bridegroom is near. Have faith in His faithfulness! Don’t be tossed to and fro, don’t be distracted.

2 John 1:8  Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

Paul talked about a crown of righteousness. Crown = “exalted rank”. God wants us to lay a hold of this, the full reward.

Hebrews 2:1  Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

We know this but we need to continue to hear this. Don’t let them slip.

Ephesians 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

It’s a gift – not of works.

Isaiah 64:6  . . . all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;

Paul said he did not want to be found in his own righteousness.

Romans 7:18  For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:

God sent a thorn in Paul’s life to humble him. We are saved by grace and must go on in grace, not in the works of our flesh.

Galatians 3:3  Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

When you stop looking at the mercy seat, you start looking at yourself. It’s all grace.

Romans 11:6  And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

The thought of sanctification through self-works is a life that is bewitched. The ones that will have the greatest reward in heaven are the ones who receive the most grace here. Many Christians try to straighten themselves up, but the only power to change you is the grace of God. It’s only by faith in His word. Faith works by love. You need to know the plan of God. The height of His grace is for a life to know - I am my Beloved’s and His desire is toward me. Know the love of Christ. Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my words.” Paul kept the faith (2Timothy 4:7). The church of Philadelphia kept the word of the Lord (Revelation 3:10). We win by keeping in first love with the Word. Glorified together with Him. Let me let You do this, to be nothing but a vessel to the praise and glory of His grace.  The Lord will accomplish it in my life. As thou hast believed, (how do you believe?) so be it done unto you (Matthew 8:13). He is performing the good work in us. He says, “My coming draweth nigh. Rise up my love my fair one and come away with me!”
