Bible Text: I Peter 1:8 |

The Invisible God           September 11, 2016

1 Peter 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

Thank God for our most incredible invisible God. With our natural sight, we don’t see Him. But that is the plan, grace through faith. By not being able to see Him is the only way we could truly fall in love with Him. We walk by faith, not by sight, that’s when we please God.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

This is the time of the greatest blessing – blessed with all spiritual blessings (Eph. 1:3). Nothing withheld from us in His word. In the Old Testament they saw great miracles (the ark, the plagues, Goliath, the Red Sea). We see them by faith, not with our eyes. We live in the time of exceeding great and precious promises. A time of the invisible God, He has given us a better thing.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

We have joy and peace in believing (Rom. 15:13). For joy and peace to be present, there has to be opportunities for faith. By laying hold of faith we see the way of escape has been made, and can call those things that are not as though they were. By laying hold of faith we have the very mind of Christ, and His vision.

John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Blessed means “happier”. The evidence is joy and peace in believing, and it’s all by the Holy Ghost. When you walk outside of the will of God, you will be miserable. When I walk in unbelief, I’m wrong. When I walk apart from the word of God, I’m off. Wake up and quit being selfish. Get out of darkness, walk in the light. We are so rich in Him. This is the proving time for mature sons. Do we hear the invisible God? Will you take those things to heart or is your life more valuable? All He wants is you to believe Him. Fall in love with Him and you’ll gladly do His will. His sheep hear His voice. With Jesus Christ, this is the proof of true love. True love doesn’t just stay in love, it grows more and more. There is one way we know Him better, hear the love letters. A wife abides faithful, His words are all the attention she needs. By faith in Christ, we can be content in any circumstance. How blessed we are because all we have is ears to hear – He gave us ears to hear what He said to the church of Philadelphia. Abide full of faith as a readied wife!
