But God and His Miracles        November 22, 2015

Psalms 77:14 Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.
Deuteronomy 10:21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.
Job 5:8-9 I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: 9 Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
Isaiah 43:1-2 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
“God, I need a miracle”. We need to pray, “Father, thy will be done”. His will is all about miracles”. Be thankful and humble to know we need His miracles; don’t let self righteousness get in the way. When we go down, He is lifted up. The best view is at His feet.
The miracle of David as he stood before the giant. The miracle of Moses before the Red Sea. They didn’t doubt, they were expecting a miracle from God. There are miracles every day. God brings you into a battle where there is no way you can fight, no way to overcome, but God can. You know you can’t win, you’re done. But God and His miracles. He can only bring this through the trial of our faith. We need to cry out. We have a promise – whatsoever I ask in His name, He will do it (John 14:13). Plead with God; cast it all on the altar, then the miracles come.
Job 42:5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
When you cry out to God tenderness comes in your heart. You want strength? Get tender. All we can do is fall before Him and stand on the promises. When we are in the place that is so far beyond our strength, we don’t even know what to ask for, the Holy Spirit has to make intercession. His ways are beyond finding out. Lord, I am helpless; I need you to pour forth your miracles. And this is what happens; He lifts up a standard and the floods of the enemy are swallowed up. As you raise your hands and praise Him, the enemy withdraws. God’s fiery arrows scatter them. Know who fights for you. We are the apple of His eye. We are the sons of the living God. You need a miracle. Cry out to Him. God has not brought us to a place to leave us alone, but to glorify Him. He increases and I decrease. Be still and quiet and see the mighty hand of God!
