His Great Love                         November 26, 2017

Ephesians 2:1-7  And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;  2.  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:  3.  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.  4.  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,  5.  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)  6.  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:  7.  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Talk about Thanksgiving. The great love wherewith we are loved. He gave you all grace to grow in liberty. He made you free. I am always loved by God. The love that sent us the Holy Ghost to be filled to grow in more knowledge. Bridal love that loved you when you were dead in trespasses and sins. The love to rule and reign with Him, glorified together. The adoption of sons – to grow up into Him in all things. A fellowship with Him where nothing is withheld; to know the deep things. There is a first love, one that you want to share everything with; to share a life intimately. Grow up into wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. God is rich in mercy.

Ephesians 3:17  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

This is by continually hearing the word of God; to settle down in marriage. Stay in love by hearing how much He loves you. Avail your ear to hear the love letters of God. Have an ear to hear what the Spirit says to the churches. We are one in Christ.

Ephesians 3:18-19  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;  19.  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Think of the depth of His love that went to save us even when we were dead in sins. The height of His love that He wanted us to be His bride. The length of His love from ages past to eternity. The breadth of His love to grow up into Him in all things, to be His glory. Oh, the wealth of His mercy. This is more than forgiveness of sin, more than born of God. His mercy replaced sin and death and brought us to ruling and reigning together with Him.  Glorified together with Him. Always encourage yourself in the great love wherewith you are loved.

I Samuel 30:6but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

David had great mistakes and failures (so do we). God loved you and was for you even when you were dead in sin. He says, “You’re mine, I chose you, and nothing will separate you from me”. He comforts me and assures me, that by Him I consist. He holds me together. The riches of His mercy He always saw for us. You are His – know it!

The Song of Love (by Sister Bodie)

It was a song of love so rare,

The Son of God sought bride most fair,

And stooped to Earth in flesh of man,

The awful gulf of sin to span,

And set a captive maiden free,

To grace His throne His own to be,

O never was there song so sweet,

A song of songs divine complete,

Its harmony sets heart aflame,

And bids all tongues its worth proclaim,

Of Him who stooped all things to dare,

That He might win His love so fair.
