Bible Text: Proverbs 16:3 |

The Answer is Faith        January 10, 2016

Proverbs 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Commit = “entrust”. Entrust them, deposit them, anything of our lives put our confidence in the Lord.
Established = an erected masterpiece - built up in the Word of His grace.
If I let Him He will make me a pillar in the temple of God (Rev 3:12).
I tend to put the cart before the horse, my mind gets in the way.
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
The mind of Christ is complete understanding and wisdom every time.
All He says is let it be. It has already been given, let it reign.
Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
The way I should take – I don’t have a clue. Let Him direct us. If you go in your own strength and plans, no matter the intent of the heart, it will lead to destruction. Why would I want to go in my own way when the mind of Christ is the perfect outcome? Sometimes we get consumed with asking God questions and wanting an answer. The answer is by faith.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Our Father has given us every answer for everything we’ll face in our lives. We are fully equipped little Lords of all.
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Quit trying to see the path in your own mind. Get away from self. That’s a weight that’s keeping you from soaring! Every one of us is in a fiery trial right now. You think, “I need to know!” Commit it to the Lord. Quit trying to figure it out. What if the three Hebrew children in the fiery furnace thought to figure it out when Jesus was right there? He’s got it all. We have so great a cloud of witnesses (Heb. 12:1). It’s a fight – a battle. Good soldiers endure hardness. He performs the good work He has begun. Every time I contemplate a step He shows me I can’t, but He can. When the battle seems to turn, we try to get ahead of the Lord, but He says no – He won’t let us make a move ourselves. Help me to quit struggling to believe! The way of escape has already been made – just wait. We don’t need an answer when we’ve committed the work to Him. Are you ready to quit trying to figure it out? Lay it on the altar in Jesus name! Be thankful for the simplicity to just give it to God, to let Him prove His faithfulness. Enter into His rest. He will perfect that which concerns me (Psalm 138:8). My Father has it all!
