God’s Choice all by Faith - January 25, 2015
We all have many choices to make. God’s choice is His Word. The intention of His choice is faith. Faith pleases God (Heb. 11:6). He designed every bit of our life to function by faith. The just shall live by faith. It is imperative for our sanity and peace of mind to know the word of God and believe it. Faith worketh by love (Gal. 5:6). Know the love of Christ. When we realize He loves us so, we believe and it’s amazing what we can achieve. I can have faith to move mountains but if I have no love, it profits me nothing (I Cor. 13:2). Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Rom 10:17). Lay a hold of His Word to direct you, have complete confidence in Him. What a good fight of faith to trust in Jesus. He knows the way we should take, He’s given us a path.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
God chooses that we be weakened in the way. He must increase, we must decrease (John 3:30). Through suffering we reign with Him. Glory to God. Depend on Him, He is faithful. God’s way makes no sense to man. The one faith in Jesus Christ is to them that do not believe foolishness. Wisdom is by faith because by faith God performs.
Hebrews 11:8-10 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Abraham knew who he was following. He didn’t always know where but he sought a continuing city. It’s about the end, the finish (which is actually the beginning)! He wanted to arrive there as rich as could be. He believed God and stood on the promises. God’s choice in the way, is the way you don’t think; the way you don’t often choose; or the way you wish you didn’t choose. Yet, God in His divine love for you works it for our good.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
God’ way narrows it down to those who seek Him in sincerity, in truth. Don’t wait around for everything to make sense, you’ll miss it. Joshua and Caleb didn’t analyze the situation, Joseph didn’t quit in despair, David would not be separated from His love, Gideon didn’t defeat the enemy with powerful weapons and great numbers. God shows us He is the Lord thy God that heals us. It’s just faith. Not what’s practical but what’s possible. It’s going to be impossible to you. When you take Him for this you’ll end up in the place where the things hoped for actually exist and the things that are not seen I prove. It doesn’t have to make sense to me, He is the author and finisher of my faith (Heb. 12:2)!
