Engraven in His Hands March 25, 2018
Isaiah 49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;
He opened His hands and gave us everything.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God gave us everything because He gave us Jesus. I am engraven in His hands. Not only are these the hands that we are touched of God and held of God, but there is a love so great that He engraved us upon His hands. God help us to see this and have a new praise and trust in His loving hands like never before. Engraven means to cut, to inscribe. This puts a whole new light on the verse ‘no man shall pluck you out of my hand’ (John 10:28). I’m bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. I’m in Christ. It had to be the way of the cross. When we look at ourselves, the first thing we see is our hands. In this we see the beauty of how God spoke creation into existence but He formed man. Everything in many ways comes through our hands. We hold with our hands, we let go of things, we feel texture and temperature. We can feel love through the touch of our hands. It has been proven that it is vital to be touched, and here we are always in God’s hand. The One who says:
Psalms 103:2-3 Bless the LORD . . . who healeth all thy diseases;
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
That’s what holds you every moment.
Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Jesus died for you. Thank Him. Jesus is at the right hand of God to make intercession for you always. Don’t doubt Him. You have a need today, and He freely gave us all things. You’ve got Him, so much that He engraved you in His hands. You are His, He loves you. We’ve been given it all but where has He placed us? Take it anew, we’re engraven in His hands!
John 20:20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
He showed them His hands. No matter what’s going on in your life, look at His hands. See Him, believe Him. This is the love He has for you. It’s finished. He loves us with a love that will never end. This was to bring many sons to glory. John was taken to heaven in spirit and when he began to see things he fell as dead but the right hand of God touched him. These are the hands that forever love us, that mold us and make us after His will, that never let us go, that hold us up and carry us, that wipe away every tear, that pick me up, and even shake me. The hands that have been praying for me. And some day, the hands that are going to catch me away.
Song of Solomon 2:6 His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me.
