Bible Text: II Chronicles 20:20-22 |

Praise the Lord                 April 2, 2017

King Jehoshaphat was facing mighty enemies coming against him.

2 Chronicles 20:20-22  And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.  21.  And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.  22.  And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

Acts 16:25-26  And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.  26.  And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

Paul and Silas not only prayed, they sang praises and their bands were loosed. You begin to praise the Lord in your home and God will loose bands. Sincere praise in the heart is victory. I have an advantage in the battle because the Lord has given me all things. The joy of the Lord. Know how He loves us. We need that anointing and we will begin to receive the deep things of the Lord by the Spirit. The love shed abroad in our hearts. Those that praise God receive from God. Transformation will happen, victory will come. Praising Him is one of the greatest evidences of faith.

Acts 4:31  And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Listen to the word of God. Continually praise the Lord.

Psalms 109:30  I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

Psalms 146:2  While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

What are you about? We are so graced. Vessels to the praise of the glory of His grace.

Luke 24:49-53  And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.  50.  And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.  51.  And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.  52.  And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:  53.  And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

They saw His ascension – we have a better vision, we get to see His coming! He’s the lover of your soul. Praise Him for His word, truth in love, Paul’s gospel. Praise begins in a pew but true worship comes down to the altar. Jesus doesn’t change. Praise Him and go forth in that victory. Worship Him, take time to praise Him.
