He Will Perform It July 15, 2018
Philippians 1:4-7 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, 5. For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; 6. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform ituntil the day of Jesus Christ: 7. Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.
Isn’t our Jesus amazing? Perform = finish, complete, perfect, accomplish. Good work = the most excellent thing. The fellowship in Paul’s gospel. The grace gospel of glory. We can be confident in the fellowship in Paul’s gospel to perform the most excellent thing. If you want beans you plant beans. If you want to be in the bride, it must be through Paul’s gospel.
Jesus went to the Father so He could send the Holy Ghost so we’d have an ear to hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To hear the deep things.
John 16:12-13a I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:
There’s more, don’t stop. In these four verses in Philippians is the performance of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. It’s only possible by staying in the fellowship of the gospel.
Hebrews 2:1Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
The high calling performing is only possible by staying in Paul’s gospel. In verse seven is the evidence of these Philadelphia saints that live right now. There are three things that come forth: 1. In my heart (love), 2. In my bonds (suffering), 3. In the defense of the gospel (stand). The Holy Ghost love has to be shed abroad in our hearts. We need to hear this message. Without knowing His great love for you, you won’t soar. You need to know the love of Christ! We have an old nature and a new nature. You need the old one to see His mercy. But we have something better in us. Don’t ever stop growing in this message. To know Jesus will have a wife. Have faith in God’s love. Paul’s gospel opens the mystery of the bridal love in the word of God. His loyalty is outstanding, his love is true, and His all-powerful grace does it.
2 Corinthians 9:8 And Godisable to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things,may abound to every good work:
There is no way you could have gotten to this point, hearing this message, if this message wasn’t for you. Jesus said if a man love me he will keep my words.
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
You were born to rule and reign with Christ. Keep = believe, cherish, hold fast. You are born a little lord of all, to reign with Him. Lay down your palm and hold your crown. Are we confident in the word of His grace?
Acts 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
Do we really know we have it all, forever?He is the one who holds you, nourishes, forgives. He gives me His heart to know I have everything to win Him. Like the Gentile brides in the O.T, they didn’t deserve it but they knew it was theirs! I am my beloved’s and his desire is toward me. My beloved is mine. We are it!
