The Masterpiece Gospel August 19, 2018
1 Corinthians 3:9-13 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye areGod's building. 10. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13. Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
Paul brought forth the masterpiece gospel. Paul was given the bridal message. What will you build? Is it just another message, or the prize of your life?
Ephesians 3:3-9 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4. Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5. Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6. That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: 7. Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. 8. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; 9. And to make all mensee what isthe fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Fellowheirs = joint heirs as husband and wife. This was not preached or known because it was not revealed. Jesus died, arose, and left so the Holy Spirit could come. Everything was prepared, all power and provision for the purpose of this age. It took the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth. For the masterpiece gospel to come forth through the chief of sinners (Paul).
Romans 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also amof Christ.
Colossians 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
Fulfil = complete. Jesus is waiting for His wife.
2 Timothy 2:7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
If you want understanding in all things, listen to Paul’s gospel. Paul is the apostle to the Gentiles (us).
Philippians 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
If they are preaching Paul’s gospel – get it, if they are not – get out.
Galatians 1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7. Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9. As we said before, so say I now again, If any manpreach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:11-12 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it,but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Paul was given the message of the high calling. Paul’s gospel makes the stories of the Old Testament make sense. Without Paul’s gospel you know the acts of God, but with it you know His ways. For example, you’ll see that Jesus will have a bride and it’s not the whole church, which was shown in the very beginning with Adam and the rib portion that made up his wife. All are heirs of the Father, but only some will be joint-heirs with His Son. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. (Proverbs 31:29)
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him,that we may be also glorified together.
Paul in Corinthians wrote of ranks in the resurrection. In Thessalonians he tells us to be ready. We build on what Paul was given. Take heed. Only want the whole counsel of God. There is a masterpiece of divine grace. She will be unveiled for all to see - having the glory of God. We have such a great opportunity, let us hear. Lord, help us to wake up. Let us take heed how we build!
