Bible Text: Deuteronomy 13:3 |

All the Fullness of Love                  October 1, 2017

Deuteronomy 13:3  . . . for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

The Lord doesn’t want robots, He wants passion. Zeal according to knowledge.

‘Love’ in the Hebrew = Ahab. Attracted, attached, superior love.

It’s the same word the Shulamite used in the Song of Solomon.

Song of Solomon 3:4  . . . I found him whom my soul loveth:

The question is not do you love me but are you in love with me? First love. The only requirement for the first rank is that you divinely love His appearing. A heart captivated with Jesus as my Bridegroom. All the faith we need and the ability to run the race is accomplished by His love. God is omnipotent and intimate.

Romans 5:5  . . . the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

You have to have that love shed abroad in your heart to see this. The Old Testament prophets wrote these things for us. Paul’s gospel. Bridal truth. The Father is going to seek out a wife for His Son. Come get the perfect will of God.

John 4:23-24  . . . the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  24.  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

If it wasn’t about a first, preeminent love, there would be no need for Paul’s gospel. There would be no high calling, no need to know the love of Christ, no need to be filled with all the fullness of God. But we do know, and to be found in first love is the reason we live and breathe. My occupation should be the first love. The only way is reading the love letters, hearing it by the Holy Ghost. How much He loves me and how much He wants to see me.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  10.  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Paul told about the exalted rank of righteousness for those that love His appearing. What we see and know by the Spirit.

Ephesians 3:18-19  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;  19.  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

That you might be filled with all the fullness of love. Those that are in love will have the exceeding riches of His grace. The love of God inspires, motivates, and changes you. God’s love sets your affections on things above. The love of God can cause you to leave your family (like Rebekah), leave heritage, and lay down all your trophies. This love caused Jesus to leave the throne and become the worm on the cross. If the love of God is that powerful, it is powerful enough to change me, to enable me to leave the cares of this life and forget about the desires of my flesh. The love of Christ is living in my life and changing me! I’m coming forth as gold. Let Him prove you. We’ve got the first love gospel. Finish with the first love. Love with all your heart and soul!
