Bible Text: Isaiah 29:24 |

Know the Doctrine           October 9, 2016

Isaiah 29:24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.
Know the doctrine and you will not complain. Know the truth in the gospel. Encourage yourself in the Lord. The children of Israel were in bondage 400 years and God delivered them and yet because they didn’t know doctrine, they complained. They only knew His acts, not His ways.
Psalms 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
Through trouble we glorify Him but when you don’t know what’s going on you will complain. Knowing the word doesn’t just make it right, it makes everything perfect. God will never fail us. His word is true and He enriches us in everything.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
You never leave the hand of God. To know His word is the comfort of all comfort. This world is full of complaining, even with wealth, because things will never satisfy. The only one that satisfies is Jesus. David was a mighty king. How do you explain his failures? God said, “this man went fully after me” (1 Kings 11:6). Paul said, “don’t let sin reign in your life” (Romans 6:12).
Complainers of brethren, judging ones, usually leave Paul’s gospel; but those being complained about stay and grow.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
The flesh wars against the Spirit but greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1John 4:4). Imagine your life free of complaining – not just accepting, but even being thankful and rejoicing. He loves us so much. Eternity’s best in every detail of our life.
1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
A peace that passes understanding, that there is a perfecting going on in those that believe.
Thankful I know who has me.
Song of Solomon 7:10 I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me.
Take advantage of all the benefits of the Lord. Are we so in love with Jesus that there is no complaining? Is this word everything to us? Jesus is coming! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil. 4:13). There is a battlefield daily, but we’ve got the whole armor of God. We just stand and watch the mighty hand of God. How much more do we need to grow in this word of God? We need to know Him more. Walk through all the land. Become lovers of the truth. Rejoicing in Him in everything, always giving thanks to Him. You have it all. Do you believe you can live joy unspeakable and full of glory? I don’t want to murmur or complain. The answer is in knowing the doctrine.
