Prayer October 28, 2018
James 5:16b The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Pray always. God loves to hear us pray. Always in the Name of Jesus. Effectual fervent prayer is the dynamite power of the Holy Ghost. He moves heaven and earth; He gave us His Son. We’ve got the whole backing of heaven.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to besin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Psalms 11:7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness;
He made you the very thing He loves. There is nothing compared to the love of the Father. How much will we grow up in that righteousness? That life grows by hearing the word of God. By faith. Now are we the sons of God. How could we not want to yield our everything to Him – it’s His life. He gave us His life because of His love. You need mercy. We pray believing because He made us righteous. Not robotic or vain repetitions. When we come boldly to the throne of grace, let’s pour it all out.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Prayer is not of you – the Spirit does it. Praying in the Holy Ghost strengthens us. That edifying is vital for your life. This worship will help you grow up in Him. There isn’t a Comforter like the Holy Ghost. Prayer is not more powerful in numbers. Prayer is made powerful in Jesus Name believing. Ones like Hannah and Hezekiah didn’t seek people, they sought God, and He heard. In Jesus name He hears your petitions.
Philippians 4:6b . . . let your requests be made known unto God.
Pray - there is a oneness in Christ. It’s all God.
James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
Oil represents the anointing of the Holy Ghost. We want that anointing. God knows your request before you ask. Don’t be fearful when you pray – just go in Jesus name. He loves you. Your faith is priceless to Him. Worship. Cry out to Him. Ask for His perfect will. His way and His timing is always perfect and will bring an abundance in your life. Those that pursue God on their own terms receive so much less than they could have had.
You’ll learn to pray Lord God, I want to know you, let my heart be still and wait upon you, with thanksgiving in all things. Only Christ in you can do that. You’re not giving up, you’re getting more. It’s not poverty but growing in riches in Christ. Do you know who you are to God? Do you know the riches of the glory He is building in you? Seek to be filled with the Holy Ghost. Don’t go your own way – you’ll dry up.
Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Come and pray!
