The Father’s Will August 16, 2015
John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
What a testimony of complete surrender and joy because of the obedience to the Father. That very heart and mind lives in you. Christ in you. The life that allows us to be convicted and convinced.
Jeremiah 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.
It is not in our ability.
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Do we really believe the word of God directs our lives? The way of life - is Christ in you.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Not my faith, His faith, which comes by the Word (Romans 10:17). The only time I can really see is when I confess I am blind; that I don’t know the way, but I know He is the way. There is complete harmony when our mind stops and we trust His way. Do you get challenged when you don’t see fruit? We can get so encouraged in the things of God but then there are times when you hardly want to go on. He takes us there to know we need Him.
John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
You may hit the wall, but you’ve never left the mighty arms. Be still. Do not go by what you see or feel. Call those things which be not as though they were (Rom. 4:17). I don’t want to be a seer. I want enlightened eyes of understanding. Without a vision people perish. It’s always going to be the way I think not. I want to be a believer, like Joshua and Caleb. They didn’t care about popular opinion, they looked at God’s promises. Abound in hope or you will turn to something else. Going after compromise, or when you think your way is helping Him, will cause you heartache. Being slow to believe God is painful. Honor God now. He is the exceeding great reward of every bit of my life. Going after God now is success. When the word of God is our treasure our life is beyond our wildest dreams. God does not withhold one good thing from us. In all things be content.
Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Just show up. By His grace we are just passing through. We will be home soon. The riches untold are in His way. We have many examples of those that went His way: Abraham, Joseph, David, Ruth, Esther. You see so many people squander opportunity by being rebellious, lazy or selfish. This robs you. You will have far less than what God intends for your life. If the enemy gets your attention just for a moment it can alter your life forever. The way of destruction is wide, and sin likes company. Narrow is The Way.
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
“It’s a fine line to greatness”; it takes sacrifice, dedication, discipline, and caring. What do we care about? God’s way is so rich in love, it increases you. Just walk in it. Time passes by fast. Be wise, be diligent. Don’t squander God’s best. There is one thing God’s giving now, His best. According to His purpose. His Fathers will, that we would win Him. By the grace of God let’s not squander it. Make the move!
