Proverbs 4:5-9 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not… 7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. …9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
Some think we get this wisdom in college but that’s not what this is referring to.
1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
Men in this age know a lot but it should not be what we glory in.
2 Timothy 3:14-15 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Paul is assuring Timothy to stay with the stuff. God wants us to be wise unto salvation. Not just about being saved, salvation is vast. A complete knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the (full) knowledge of the truth.
The scriptures do this. We are His workmanship. It’s all by grace. Why does God want us to be wise? Because -> Proverbs 3:35 The wise shall inherit glory:
The word of God never returns void to Him. Thank God for what you know. The exceeding riches of eternity. Don’t get complacent, stir up the gift of the word of God that is in you. Be filled with all the fullness of God. God will perform the good work He has begun. Rejoice in what we know.
Proverbs 3:13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
Be happy. You are finding wisdom. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Faith pleases God. Let’s take a tour around the word of God and see what we know:
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Praise God for the simplicity that Jesus is The WAY. And aren’t you glad you know salvation is forever. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. (Romans 8). We don’t live in fear.
John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish…
And we know this is just the beginning as He is offering us the midst of the throne.
John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
With that infilling of the Holy Ghost you can be lead into all truth.
Acts 2:2-4 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting… 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Speaking in tongues is the evidence of being filled with the Spirit. We need spirit and truth. Grow up.
Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

What are you excited about in life? How many actually know this? But you know this! The mark for the prize, the high calling. Be wise unto salvation – salvation with eternal glory.
2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
The glory that sits you in the midst of the throne. A crown of glory!
Proverbs 14:24 The crown of the wise is their riches: And you know that!
