In the Name of Jesus April 10, 2016
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Do we really believe in the power of Jesus’ name?
Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
How beautiful and wonderful the power in Jesus’ name. Confident, power, calm, peace, rest and love in the name of Jesus. David was quickened in the Lord. He came against Goliath in the name of the Lord.
1 Samuel 17:45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
David proclaimed the name of God more than anyone, and Jesus’ name is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Psalms 118:10-11 All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them. 11 They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
Saved, anointed, justified, walking, prophesy, heal, cast out demons, raise the dead, all in the name of Jesus. Trust in the name of Jesus. Speak in the name of Jesus. Pray in the name of Jesus. All power in the name of Jesus. Baptize in the name of Jesus. Abundant life is in the name of Jesus. Call upon the name of Jesus.
Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
If you want to thank the Father, give all the thanks to His Son. It is a perfect pattern, there is no other name that pleases God. The only way you can go to God is in Jesus’ name.
Psalms 116:12-13 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me? 13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
What could I give back for all His benefits to me? Grow wise unto your salvation – salvation with eternal glory (2Tim 2:10). Drink that cup and call upon the name of the Lord.
It pleases God to hear you glory in Jesus’ name.
There is more power in that name. We live in a time of the better thing, the bridal message. There is no limit what we can have in His Word. All the promises in Jesus’ name are yea and amen. In the name of Jesus the bridal truth will be made real to my heart. He’s been waiting all your life for you to take His name, the name He calls you; the Lamb’s wife, the bride of Christ, joint-heir ruling and reigning partner. All by believing in His name.
Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Let the crown glory message be your first love. Cherish the bridal message or it will be taken from you.
Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
When you really own something you put your name on it. There are so many hardships but when you are refreshed in the gospel it’s worth it all. Have the vision of ruling in the midst of the throne with Him or we’ll perish. Like Him we have a joy set before us so we can endure hardness as good soldiers.
He will have a namesake and it will be ones that don’t deny His name. Hold fast the crown, you already have this, don’t doubt. Get with brethren of like precious faith in the house of bread and you will be encouraged!
