Be it Done unto Me December 9, 2018
Luke 1:26-38 . . .the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin . . .Mary. 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that arthighly favoured, . . . 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. . . . 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God . . . 38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
Luke 1:45 And blessed isshe that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
Mary was chosen from all the other women by grace (vs.28 highly favored). God does it every time by grace. We’ve been invited to the exceeding riches of His grace. Christ in you, the hope of glory. Our holy set apart thing is the exalted rank of righteousness. The bride, the Lamb’s wife. Salvation with eternal glory. Glorified together with Him. Is it any harder for God to bring a baby to Mary’s womb than it is to make you the bride, the Lamb’s wife? No, nothing is hard for God!
He’s drawn you. You are God’s choice. This is what the Holy Ghost does. Get over doubt, lay ahold of amazing grace. Listen to the word of God. Be like Mary – let it be done unto me according to thy word (Verse 38). Not what I’ve done - verse 28 ‘highly favored’ (grace). Verse 30 ‘found favor’ (double grace). Verse 35 ‘the Holy Ghost’ (the power). We’ve got a message and it hasn’t changed; grace and the Holy Ghost. This isn’t the end. Verse 45 ‘blessed’. He shows off the work of His grace.
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed bethe God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly placesin Christ:
He’s given you an exceeding abundant provision to be in the bride. He took away every doubt. You are not lacking a thing. You’ve got it. The only thing that will keep you from it is to not have faith.
Ephesians 1:5-6 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Do you get what He wants you to have? If you want to be fruitful for the Lord you have to realize His grace and mercy.
Ephesians 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
He blessed you with everything you needed. This grace will make you His good pleasure.
Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
You know. He’s telling you. You hear the word of His grace. Say, “let it be done unto me according to thy word”. Verse 45 ‘performance’.
Ephesians 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Joint-heirs as husband and wife. That’s the performance of it. You got it, will you take it?
Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
He loves you! Receive it – all by grace. By faith, not works.
Ephesians 4:12-13 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Be it done unto me according to thy word. It’s all about believing God. He is able.
Ephesians 3:20-21 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him beglory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
His word will perform it. Just like Mary, you’ve found favor with God.
