God given Faith and Grace May 27, 2018
Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
The measure of faith as God hath given. Even our faith, God gives it.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it isthe gift of God:
It is impossible to please God without faith. That’s why it is given in abundance, so we can please God in all parts of our lives.
1 Timothy 1:13-14 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did itignorantly in unbelief. 14. And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
Paul is telling about his life. Christ in him the hope of glory because the Lord exceeding abundantly gave faith. Faith pleases God because it is the evidence of grace in our lives. We bring nothing but open hands, and ask Him to fill them up. What does the Lord want to share with you? The exceeding riches of His grace. I’m thankful my faith isn’t of myself. Forget the things behind and reach for more grace, it’s what propels us on.
2 Timothy 4:7-8a I have fought a good fight, I have finished mycourse, I have kept the faith: 8. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown . . .
He stayed in grace. Paul rejoiced in the grace and mercy that God gave him. He’s always got more. Take it all. Is Jesus your first love?
Galatians 2:21a I do not frustrate the grace of God:
Don’t make it vain, empty or useless by rejecting it. The evidence of grace in our lives is joy and thanksgiving. If I reject the love of God, I’m nothing. Paul’s gospel is to grow up and remain in love. From the plan of salvation to the plan of glorified together with Christ, it’s all by grace. I need to be willing now. He that hath begun the good work will perform it. He is faithful and true. Be full of faith, believing in His faithfulness. Take all He has for you to super-abound.
2 Corinthians 9:8 And Godisable to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things,may abound to every good work:
Once again, it’s grace. By all grace, I can have all faith, all love, all patience, longsuffering. He has given it all, we lack nothing. It’s all in the word of His grace. We have to hear it.
Romans 10:17 So then faith comethby hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Jesus Christ full of grace and truth. Grace makes you happy, joyous, singing and shouting. Help us desire it, to come and be with the sons of God. It’s here for everybody. Take it. Grow strong in the grace of God. Grow in complete confidence in only the grace of God. Nothing is of ourselves, especially our faith. He gave it to you!
