There is More – Go on to Receive a Full Reward October 30, 2016
2 John 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
How wonderful, the intense passion of our Lord. We are the elect of God!
2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
There is more – a double portion. Not only finish with salvation, but salvation with eternal glory. We are seated in the heavens now but He wants more – in the midst of the throne, ruling and reigning. Not just white robes, but a stellar, stunning white wedding dress. Shekinah glory, like His. Not just a joyful finish but a full joy finish. Not just a goodly portion but a double portion. Not just an heir but a joint-heir. The exceeding riches. He wants us to love Him. He called us for the mark for the prize of the high calling. He is not after a child, He wants a mature companion. Look to yourself – examine yourself. Be honest with yourself. Where are you in this most holy faith? There will be a trumpet blast, and then no more time to be ready. It’s about over. Don’t make a shipwreck of your faith (I Timothy 1:19), by stepping back from it, or by not laying down the weight (Hebrews 12:1). Now is not the time to step back. Are we holding this precious message as the most dear thing to our life? Don’t turn away – go on and receive a full reward. The perfect reward that is in the bridal message.
Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
You have this bridal message. Look to yourself, is it your first love? Like Nehemiah, stand on God’s wall, don’t get down just because others ask you to
Nehemiah 6:3 And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?
You’ve got Paul’s gospel, why go down to something less? The Holy Ghost has been sent that you could receive all truth. This is forever, everything else is temporal. We are at the end. Stay on that wall if you want to win!
Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Work = what you occupy in in the things of God, what was accomplished in you. What you let Him put in you is what is going to come out. A servant here, then a palm waver there. If you believe just a rib portion – the bride, then midst of the throne glory. Grow up. Be filled with all the fullness of God. He is willing and able. Will you stand on the wall? If you got off, get back on. If you are off now, don’t encourage others to get off. Endure hardness as a good soldier. Let Him finish the work and accomplish His masterpiece of grace. One thing matters – lovest thou me more than these? He just wants to hear, “I do”.
